Cancellation of Drum Corps Associates 2020 Season
It is with a heavy heart that we announce Drum Corps Associates has canceled the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
DCA’s membership met on Sunday, March 29th and after a thorough evaluation of numerous factors affecting participant health and safety, travel requirements, logistics, venue availability, and other associated issues are what made DCA come to this unanimous decision.
Above all else, the entire DCA community remains unified in its commitment to preserve the health, safety, and well-being of everyone involved in our activity. We share in the profound disappointment of the thousands of remarkable performers who will be unable to take the field this summer with what has become their drum corps families.
Even though the Hawthorne Caballeros will not take the field in 2020, we will continue to push forward and ready ourselves for the 2021 season. The Hawthorne Caballeros hope to come together later this summer for performances and parades after COVID-19 has been eradicated. We will update our website with any new opportunities for members and audiences to share our love for the marching arts.
To our members, alumni, family, friends, volunteers, partners, and supporters, we know how disappointed you are. However, we are already preparing for 2021, our 75th Anniversary season, to be bigger and better than ever before. We will all get through this together. The Caballeros family will emerge from this situation stronger than ever. Stay tuned for updates regarding 2021 in the near future. In the meantime, take care of each other and don’t forget: We will March On.
