John Adcock and Adam Freeman Announce 2017 Brass Staff!
John Adcock, Brass Caption Head, Adam Freeman, Music Ensemble Coordinator, and the Hawthorne Caballeros are proud to introduce the 2017 Brass Staff!
Robert DeFelice
Robert DeFelice is entering his second year with the Caballeros Brass Staff. He has performed with numerous ensembles and orchestras, including the Cadets from 2005-2007 and Hawthorne Caballeros in 2010. Mr. DeFelice studied Music Education and Trumpet Performance at Central Connecticut State University. Robert has taught and designed programs for many performing ensembles throughout the Northeast Region and currently adjudicates for USBands. Mr. DeFelice is a Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental Manager for his company; involved in offshore seismic exploration for the oil and gas industry.
Michael D’Avino
Michael D’Avino has been an active educator, conductor, and musician in the greater Philadelphia-area for the past 12 years. He currently serves as the Director of Bands at Avon Grove High School and the Assistant Conductor of the Philadelphia Wind Symphony. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Music Education from Temple University and a Masters Degree in Conducting from the University of Delaware. In addition to his teaching duties, he is also an active performer on trombone and euphonium.
Ray Henrickson
Ray Henricksen is an active euphonium soloist, clinician, and educator in the New York metropolitan area. He holds a Bachelors degree from Rutgers University and a Graduates degree from the University of North Texas. While in Texas, he studied euphonium performance under the tutelage of Dr. Brian L Bowman and wind band conducting with Eugene Corporon and Dennis Fisher. Ray currently holds the Solo Euphonium chair in the Princeton Brass Band and is the Director of Bands at Lounsberry Hollow Middle School in Vernon, NJ. He also serves as the districts brass and percussion specialist.
Aaron Staluppi
Aaron Staluppi is the band director at Franklin and McKinley Schools in Westfield, NJ. He holds a Bachelors of Music Education degree and Masters of Music degree in Tuba Performance, with an emphasis in conducting, from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he was a drum major and graduate assistant. Previously, Aaron served as a brass instructor for the Bushwackers. He is an active music instructor, drill instructor, and music arranger with several groups in the Tri-State area. Aaron is entering his eighth year on staff with the George N. Parks Drum Major Academy.
