The Hawthorne Caballeros Introduce Their 2018 Color Guard Team!
The Hawthorne Caballeros are proud to introduce the 2018 Hawthorne Caballeros Color Guard team.
Danielle Dilks – Co-Caption Head
This is Danielle’s 7th year with the Hawthorne Caballeros.
Her performance experience includes Upper Darby HS, Jersey Surf, Glassmen, Hawthorne Caballeros, ComplXity, and Black Watch. She was a member with Black Watch for their audition for America’s Got Talent and a staff member with the group for Contemporary Color. Danielle has taught groups including Jersey Surf, Black Watch, and various local marching bands and winter guards. Danielle resides in Broomall, PA and is a recruiter for a National Transportation company.
Jeff Allen – Co-Caption Head
Jeff Allen has over 35 years’ experience performing and providing instruction in the marching arts. Jeff originally hails from Western NY, where he began his career as a member of the Hilton Crimson Cadets Marching Band and Winter Guard. In addition, he was a performer with the Churchville Saints Winter Guard, the Schaumburg Guardsmen IW WGI Finalist from Schaumburg, Il, and the Empire Statesmen Drum and Bugle Corps from Rochester, NY.
In the mid 90’s, Jeff made the transition from performing to teaching and spent the better part of the next 2 decades working with several New York State-area marching bands, winter guards, and drum corps such as, Webster, Naples, East Ridge, Medina High Schools, the Empire Statesmen, and Rochester Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps. Most notably, Jeff worked with the Bishop Kearney Performance Ensemble, 5-time Scholastic World WGI World Champions.
Jeff currently resides in Philadelphia, PA where he is a Regional IT Manger. Jeff is currently on staff providing technical and consultant services for Orchard Park High School Winter Guard, Les Eclipse, the Madison Scouts, and AMP Independent World Winter Guard, the 2017 WGI Independent Open Class World Champion.
Jeff is very excited to be returning to the Hawthorne Caballeros instructional team for the summer of 2018!
Laura Saad – Choreographer
Laura is excited to return to the Hawthorne Caballeros color guard in her new role as Color Guard Choreographer!
Her marching experience includes six years of DCI (2009-2014) at the Jersey Surf and Carolina Crown, as well as three years in WGI performing with Black Watch. Laura has spent the past six winter seasons working with AMP winter guard in various capacities and has choreographed/instructed various marching bands in the NJ/PA-area since 2012.
Laura holds a BS in psychology from the University of the Sciences and currently lives in Philadelphia working as a research coordinator at the University of Pennsylvania’s Memory Center.
